Hi, I'm Nick Crawford, the creator of Tour.Dog. I started this project back in February 2019 before the whole pandemic. My initial goal was to build tools that allow indie musicians to easily find live music venues and book shows with minimal effort.
Through my experience as a musician, I've found that booking shows for myself or my fellow colleagues is confusing and extremely time consuming. I believe there's an opportunity to help people like myself.
That was goal at least...until March, when COVID-19 hit the U.S. and closed down live music venues for the foreseeable future. Since then, I've been keeping a close eye on venues around the nation. Additionally, I've been following the actions taken by our federal and state governments to provide relief for arts institutions.
For now, I'm hoping I can share this knowledge and look-out for my fellow musicians. I'm excited for the return to live performances. If you'd like to find out when venues near you are reopening, visit our updates page to get notifications.
